Oikos – Cooperação e Desenvolvimento (Cooperation and Development) is a Portuguese non-governmental organisation whose goal is worldwide development.
We believe, first and foremost, in a world where there is no poverty and no injustice, and where human development can be equitable and sustainable on a local and global scale.
From Emergencies to Development, Education, Social Mobilisation and Public Influence, Oikos’s work currently encompasses many countries.
Our activity is structured as a continuum in the areas of emergencies/humanitarian action, development/sustainable life and mobilisation/global citizenship.
Competence and Expertise Offered
– Development cooperation projects and programs (co-financed by multilateral and bilateral donors)
– Provision of services and partnerships with Portuguese and local companies, local authorities and other international and local organizations.
– Locally created social businesses in the countries where we work to ensure the sustainability of interventions.
Expertise sought
At this time (August and September 2019) we are looking for partnerships to train young people in NEET and unemployed situations through the simulated companies methodology.
