Cyprus Sustainable Tourism Initiative is an independent organization established in 2006 aiming to develop a sustainable approach to tourism in Cyprus
The Cyprus Sustainable Tourism Initiative (CSTI) was established with the goal to promote the development of sustainable approach to tourism in Cyprus through:
– Sensible preservation, conservation and protection of the environment and the prudent use of natural resources
– Reduction of the impact of our carbon footprint as a result of all our activities related to tourism
– Improvement of the conditions of life in socially and economically disadvantage communities due to tourism
– Promotion of sustainable means of achieving economic growth and regeneration
– Research and education
Competence and Expertise Offered
– An extensive network with in the tourism industry in Cyprus
– Knowledge and experience in the dissemination of projects
– Development and adaptation of training programs and creation of educational material

CSTI aims to participate in projects focused on synergies between local & international NGO’s, academic organizations, public and private stakeholders to promote a sustainable approach to environmental issues and to raise awareness about sustainable development.
