Since 1991 Podane ruce had been dedicated to the prevention, treatment and rehabilitation in those affected by substance misuse and addiction
Since its establishment in the early 1990s, Podane ruce has worked at minimising the harms caused by addictive behaviour and substance misuse with those most vulnerable. Actively involving young people, their families and educators in prevention and peer work, developing services for those in prison, innovative interventions for Roma and women affected by drugs, providing options for rehabilitation and reinsertion. It has also managed and cooperated in a number of European and international projects. Currently counts with 250 staff, running over 50 services across 4 regions in the country.
