Advocates International Bulgaria is an NGO working to the public benefit, supporting the rule of law, human rights protection and democratic values.

The main field of our work is establishing the rule of law and protection of human rights. We periodically organize conferences, seminars, debates, round tables and public lectures on hot legal topics, conduct analysis in various areas of law and work in partnership with various organizations and NGOs in Bulgaria, Europe and the USA, including Advocates International (USA), John Garang Peace Institute for Women, Institute for Trade, Standards and Sustainable Development – Princeton, New Jersey, and Rule of Law Forum, USA.

Competence and Expertise Offered

In a cooperation, we can provide expertise for organizing conferences, seminars, debates, round tables and public lectures on hot legal topics, preparing reports and comparative analysis in various areas of law, and ensuring partnership with NGOs in the USA. The NGO’s team is headed by Ambassador Slavi Pachovski (retired), Ph.D. in Law, the first democratically elected Permanent Representative, Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria to the UN with mandate 1992-1997, and now member of US NGOs.

Expertise sought

We seek cooperation and expertise for organizing conferences, conducting studies and publishing materials on legal topics relevant to Bulgaria, such as exercise and protection of religious freedom, ensuring media freedom, defining independent national policy in the field of nuclear energy, ensuring the participation of citizens in municipal governance, initiating and pursuing court cases for protection of human rights, etc.
