ANIMACT creates and supports socially engaged projects and cultural initiatives focused on alternative education towards a sustainable living.
ANIMACT is a platform for dialog between artists, activists and local communities. Our expertise comes from two different areas: performative arts and human-animal interactions. We seek to discover new voices and offer a context for new writing and socially engaged theatre projects.
We also develop non-formal educational programmes that aim to promote a sustainable way of living and improve our relationship with the environment and animals around us.
Competence and Expertise Offered
All our projects are participative and inclusive. We have expertise writing and producing theatre plays based on the stories from the local communities. Our non-formal education programmes are based on applied theatre techniques and critical thinking workshops.
We can offer expertise in project writing, implementation and reporting, playwriting, applied theatre workshops, animal behaviour and welfare, environment and climate change, active citizenship, gender equality.
Expertise sought
We are a young NGO, looking for partnerships with like-minded organisations, who are developing socially engaged projects at the intersection of art/theatre, humans and animals. We would like to widen our network of international contacts and learn more about the opportunities available in the filed and also create a context for more initiatives towards a sustainable living.
