HIGGS is an initiative which aims to reinforce non-profit organizations (NPOs) operating in Greece through high quality training and mentoring.
HIGGS provides especially designed training, support and mentoring programs free of charge to participating NPOs. In addition, it provides consulting and training by a wide network of external partners/specialists, while serving as a hub for networking opportunities within Third Sector stakeholders in Greece and abroad. At a practical level, HIGGS offers a variety of meeting rooms and equipment such as co-working spaces, headquarters, offices, meeting/event rooms, wi-fi, telephone, etc. Possible project ideas might include exchange of good practices, international training opportunities, etc.
Competence and Expertise Offered
Our expertise covers a wide range of activities and initiatives. Firstly, the establishment and operation of an Incubator and Accelerator. This is directly related to our constant relationship and deep understanding of the NPO sector stakeholders. In addition, our innovative model offers us significant experience in providing state-of-the-art capacity building (designing, implementing, evaluating, etc.) Finally, the HIGGS team has extensive experience and knowledge in Project Management too.
Expertise sought
Our main focus is on supporting newly established, as well as small and medium size NGOs through workshops/seminars.events, combined with tailor-made fully customized counselling/mentoring. In this line, we are looking for partners who can help us improve, strengthen and update, both our educational content and our respective processes/systems, by providing their know-how, experience and insights, e.g. on new innovative training methods such as distance learning, serious games, webinars, MOOCs.
