Description

The Network for Children’s Rights (NCR) is a Greek NGO, established in 2004 with its focus on promoting and ensuring children’s rights.

Our action has its basis on the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, social solidarity, and cultural diversity as well as on the voluntary contribution of members and friends. Volunteers and staff members develop educational, artistic and social programs accessible to all children and teenagers despite the background, country of origin or religion of the participants. Since 2004, we developed long-term partnerships with many cultural, social and educational institutions, both in Greece and abroad, offering free activities and services to hundreds of children and their families

Competence and Expertise Offered

NCR offers non-formal education, cultural and creative activities to all children as well as youth. Also, it provides legal and psycho-social support to children and families at risk. Based in one of the most underprivileged areas of Athens, NCR offers activities addressed to mixed groups of children and teenagers, Greek children, immigrants and refugees, who live in that area as well as in refugee camps and hosting houses.
