VFO serves as the umbrella organization for more than 2 000 neighbourhood associations in Norway.
Our purpose is to support the voluntary work of a
VFO communicates news about community development. Additionally, VFO provides advice and services for its members regarding organizing, legal issues, and practical matters, such as the upkeep of playgrounds and club houses. Our organisation is member of Hela Norden ska Leva, cooperative organization for local community organizations in the Nordic region.
Competence and Expertise Offered
Experience of how local communities can have an influence on government and policies that effect them. Accordingly we can give examples and alternatives on how to build up a more democratic state by giving citizens a say in matters that effect them in day to day life. In addition we already cooperate with other Nordic Countries that work in a similar feild.
