Description
Providing comprehensive assistance to people on the move as they navigate complex administrative processes of integration in Greece.
Welcome Office began as a grassroots initiative on Lesvos Island in response to increased arrival numbers following the EU-Turkey deal. It evolved into an independent NGO in Greece in April 2023. Despite challenges for NGOs in Greece, it continues to assist people on the move with bureaucratic processes for integration. Their holistic approach involves collaborating with professionals, running a housing project, supporting self-organized projects, and hosting Helsinki independent radio. The Welcome Office remains steadfast in its mission amid changing humanitarian landscapes.
