Amund Trellevik holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Oslo Metropolitan University, and Russian language from the University of Oslo.
He has broad experience in journalism, having previously worked for the Norwegian public broadcasting NRK, regional newspapers Nordlys and Finnmarken, High North News, and the national newspapers Dagsavisen, Aftenposten, and Dagbladet, among others.
His specialized expertise lies in Arctic society and politics, human rights and freedom of expression, security and military issues, and East-West relations. For many years, Trellevik has been dedicated to promoting media freedom, ensuring the safety of journalists, and advocating for the conditions conducive to critical and investigative journalism. He currently works as a journalist for Investigate Europe, and is the Chair of Barents Press Norway.
