Vlad Dumitrescu currently works as the Program Director for the Civil Society Development Foundation (FDSC) in Romania.
He has been actively involved in the non-governmental sector for more than 24 years. He holds degrees in Environmental Sciences and Journalism, and has previous professional experience as a youth worker, trainer, facilitator, project manager, event organizer, grants manager and capacity building consultant.
He has worked in everything from grass-root organisations to the National Agency for Youth in Action/ Erasmus+ Program and internationally in student organizations with European outreach. His main areas of expertise lies, among others, in organisational development (strategic planning, fundraising, human resource management, etc.) as well as training and facilitation, and on topics such as civic engagement, human rights, addressed mainly through a non-formal lens.
Dumitrescu’s expertise has been developed by directly working with a high number of national and international CSOs and public institutions, as well as through development of specific curricula, training and capacity programs, including gender mainstreaming initiatives in organisational development practices.
